A new day is dawning after a nighttime I thought would never end for Videogame Vacation! I finally have some real, functional video capture hardware in my possession and I’ve gotten almost all of the kinks worked out to take raw input all the way through the machine and into HD YouTube footage for the world to enjoy!
My test case was Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood which I’ve been borrowing from a friend that’s produced 17 scenes of exceptional craftsmanship, design and downright beauty. Running around Roma with an eye for scenery instead of stabbery, I found myself recording clips at an exponential rate. I didn’t like the game that much but I could sit and watch its meta reality play out in front of me endlessly.
So I hope you guys like Italian, sun-drenched vistas, stucco detailing, and (mostly) perfect Summer days because we’ve got a two week excursion through Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood’s Roma that technically kicked off yesterday.
You can watch the videos right here on Videogame Vacation or on our YouTube playlist each day but be sure to switch them to 720p for the most dazzling displays I could capture!
